My name is Carrie Irwin, and I’m a 200 hour registered yoga instructor in the Louisville area. I am a very nurturing yoga instructor who works hard to make poses accessible to all levels. I am very skilled in offering modifications to help my students feel comfortable and encourage their ability to embrace where their bodies are on any given day.

I teach in Louisville-area studios, local companies, as well as offering private and small group lessons. I offer classes that touch upon multiple disciplines of yoga, with strong skills in Vinyasa, Hatha, Fusion Classes, Restorative, and Yin Yoga.

 
Moksha Shanti Yoga is the name I choose to describe my vision of yoga. The Sanskrit word Moksha simply translated means “liberation”. The Sanskrit word Shanti simply translated means “peace”. Some of the wonderful benefits of yoga are fairly immediate and fairly obvious, such as increased flexibly, increased muscle strength and tone, as well as improved respiration, energy and vitality.

The goal of my services is to help each student learn to practice yoga in such a way that they not only realize these benefits, but with continued regular practice and dedication, helping them to feel the benefits of finding liberation and freedom on their mat and learn to use those skills to further their ability to find liberation and increased peace off the mat.
